Lisbon is serviced by regular international flights, with several US and UK flights per day. From the airport, it is just a short 20 minute taxi journey to reach the many hotels and apartments in the city. Public transport in the city is reliable, inexpensive, and very easy to use – this is the best option for getting around the city, and visiting other districts such as Sintra and Belém.
Located in the Mediterranean, Lisbon enjoys long warm summers with very little rainfall, and winters are very mild. Average temperatures in Summer are 25℃, with highs of 29℃, while average Winter temperatures sit at approximately 12℃, dropping occasionally to lows of 8℃. This mild climate makes Lisbon a fantastic city break all year round!
Lisbon is the bustling capital city of Portugal, and is located alongside the Tagus River in the centre of the country. Portugal is bordered only by Spain and the Atlantic Ocean, making Lisbon the Westernmost city of continental Europe.
