The island is laced with more than 900km of marked trails our favorite being the trail that leads all the way up to Piton de la Fournaise – one of the islands most famous volcanoes sitting at 2632 metres above sea level. Commencing at the shoreline beaches, make your way along the meandering route up towards the volcanic craters trailing through the dense rainforests and lunar landscapes of the Plaine des Sables.

Accompanied by your expert mountain guide, you will learn all about the interesting geology of the Island giving you an amazing insight into the incredible nature that surrounds you.
