The Treehotel in Sweden - The Bisophere
The Treehotel in Sweden is known for their collection of luxury, bespoke designed treehotel rooms suspended within the Swedish Lapland forest and the Biosphere is the newest addition. Biosphere amplifies Treehotel’s focus on sustainability and natural tourism, helping facilitate the conservation of the local bird population. With a façade containing 340 bird nests, the Treehotel aims to decrease the downward spiral of the bird population in the Swedish woods and instead strengthen the biosphere and natural habitat.
The interior is simple, yet due to its checker solid-open conceptual make-up, allows for a range of experiences within a relatively small space. Guests have access to a roof terrace – close to the treetop canopies – that offer a 360-degree view of the forest. Through wrapping the new hotel room in an ecological habitat, guests are provided the opportunity to experience bird life in close proximity, finding themselves in the epicentre of nature. You can sit in the viewing area, in total tranquillity, and enjoy the luxury interior, with a spa shower and private sauna. The interior of this treehotel room is beautiful, and is deceptive in it’s design, feeling much larger inside that you think, with privacy built in, you feel totally encapsulated in your luxury treehotel room, all with private facilities.
The Biosphere is accessed via a private suspended bridge that slopes from the ground to the top of the trees. The interior of the 34m2 hotel room incorporates rich dark interiors and organic materials inspired by the surrounding landscape, which further serve to reinforce the visitors’ view outwards and to focus on the natural beauty of the surroundings. As all of the Treehotel tree rooms Biosphere has incinerating toilet and a sustainable Rukkamoinika water system with 3 litres of water for washing your hands. Biosphere also has shower, sauna and tap water.
Treehotel in Sweden – Biosphere was designed by the Danish Bjarke Ingels Group, BIG.
